Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Studying Fashion Design was a lifelong dream come true for me. After decades of business administration, I was finally able to take the leap and fulfill my passion. Learning about sustainability in design and textiles has opened my mind to so many possibilities. Slow fashion and sustainable textiles are my focus, and I want to make clothes that women will put on over and over again for years.

My Story

I'm a prairie girl living in the rainy city of Vancouver. I have been sewing and knitting almost as long as I can remember, first for my Barbies, then for myself, and then for my family. When my life took an abrupt pivot, I packed up, moved to the big city, and started the next chapter of my journey. I love natural textiles and manipulating them.

Education

2020-2024

Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design
LaSalle College Vancouver

During my time at LaSalle College Vancouver, I learned to appreciate the art of textile manipulation. Taking a piece of fabric and turning it into something completely different by stitching, folding, dyeing, stamping, or any of the other methods of handling it, fascinates me. I will never stop experimenting with new and ancient techniques.
